Angels are represented within the three main religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Called different names they are also found within Hinduism (avatars) and Buddhism (devas). Plato wrote about the daimon:

“Each person enters this world with a calling.

The soul of each of us is given a unique daimon - or angel - before we are born, and it has elected an image or pattern that we should live.

This angel guides us here, in the process of the arrival, however, we forget all that took place and believe we come empty into this world.

The angel remembers what is in our image and is therefore the carrier of our destiny.

The myth implies that we must attend very carefully to catch early glimpses of the angel in action.”

Angels are the messengers between humankind and the divine

If only they could bridge the chasm between the different beliefs in our world. Let us believe that this one day is possible and peace maybe within us and thus permeate the world.

My goal is to fuse the tactile with spiritual truth, to infuse my artwork with energy. At the end the painting or print has to have a life of its own.
